How Hot Is It Supposed To Get Today
Weather Alert

FOX 12 FORECAST - RAIN AND GUSTY WIND, CALMING DOWN THIS EVENING
Monday, Nov. 15th, 3:00 A.M.
Good morning!
Our weather is going to get a bit rambunctious today. As I write this discussion around 3:00 A.M., most of Oregon and southwest Washington are dry. A strong cold front is approaching over the eastern Pacific and northwest Washington, and will continue to surge southeastward this morning. Rain and wind will ramp up along the southern Washington and northern Oregon Coast between the early to mid morning, and inland between the mid morning and lunchtime. This cold front will pack a punch, bringing a period of moderate to heavy rain for 5ish hours, along with gusty wind. Wind gusts will exceed 60 mph along parts of the coast, and may reach 40-50 mph inland. AHigh Wind Warning is in effect for the northern Oregon and southern Washington Coast from 6:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., and the central Oregon Coast from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. In addition, aWind Advisory is in effect for the Willamette Valley & interior southwest Washington from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Be prepared for at least *some* power outages. Snow levels will drop from about 7,000 feet to 2,500 feet between this afternoon and tonight. We're expecting about 4-8 inches of new snow above 4,000 feet by Tuesday morning, and a trace to 3 inches from 2,500 ft. to 3,500 ft.
Showers are expected to wind down by Tuesday morning, although a few weak isolated showers may linger into the afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday should feature mainly dry weather, but it will be noticeably cooler out there. Highs will range between the upper 40s and low 50s, with overnight lows in the 30s and low 40s.
Another round of rain will arrive during the back half of Thursday, with a few showers lingering into Friday morning. Most signs point to a dry weekend. We'll let you know if that changes.
Stay safe out there, and have a great Monday!
